1. Who controls your data

Rankaim LTD (company number 16939962), Office No. 124, City Road, London EC1V 2NX, is the data controller for personal data processed through rankaim.co.

2. What we collect

When you create an account: name, email address, password (stored hashed), and account type.

When you use the platform: orders you place or accept, messages you send in order threads, websites you list, prices you set, and support tickets.

When you pay or get paid: transaction records and payout details. Card and account numbers are handled by our payment provider — we do not store them.

Automatically: IP address, browser and device information, and pages visited. This is collected through Google Analytics.

From publishers: domain ownership verification records and the metrics associated with a listed website.

3. Why we use it

To operate your account and process orders. To hold and release escrow, and to make payouts. To verify that placements are live and to run the twelve month monitoring. To review publisher applications. To detect fraud and abuse, including automated filtering of order messages for attempts to move transactions off the platform. To provide support. To send service emails about your orders and account. To meet legal and accounting obligations.

Our legal bases are: performance of the contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a secure marketplace and preventing fraud, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where we rely on it (analytics cookies).

4. Who we share it with

Our payment provider, to process payments and payouts
Hostinger, our hosting provider, which stores the platform and its data
Google Analytics and Google Search Console, for website analytics and search performance. Google may process this data outside the UK
Professional advisers — accountants and lawyers, where necessary
Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose

We do not sell your personal data.

On the marketplace itself: publisher domains are masked in the public catalog and revealed to a buyer at checkout. Buyers and publishers see each other only as anonymised identifiers in order threads, not by name.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

Account data for as long as your account is open, and for a period afterwards to handle disputes and meet accounting obligations. Order and financial records for as long as required by UK tax and company law. Link monitoring records for the twelve month guarantee period and a reasonable period afterwards.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You may also withdraw consent where we rely on it.

To exercise any of these, use the privacy request option in your account or email hello@rankaim.co. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

8. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the platform to work — keeping you signed in and securing your session. These do not require consent.

We also use Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. These run only with your consent, which you can give or withdraw through the cookie banner.

9. Security

Passwords are hashed. Payment details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us. Access to production data is limited to staff who need it.

No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your data and presents a risk to you, we will tell you and the ICO as required by law.

10. Changes

We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. Material changes will be notified by email.
